SPECIAL REPORT: PRESIDENT SPEAKS TO THE NATION
USANN Correspondent Bill Freeman
May 4th, 2005
Washington
At 3:30p.m. EST, the President of the United States, responding to the sudden crisis in Russia, made the
following statement from Fort Hood, Texas where the President was visiting for the day. It is expected that
the President will immediately leave Fort Hood for Washington DC.
“My fellow Americans, it brings me much sadness to report that certain elements have chosen to reject
democracy and freedom in Russia, have openly threatened the safety of our troops within the region, and
have killed a man who worked tirelessly to bring prosperity to his country.
The United States has been a staunch supporter of a free Russia and we have paid for that support in blood.
We do this not only for the people of Russia, but for the freedom of the United States and the security of
the world.
I believe that these influential elements, both domestic and foreign, wish to revive terror of old and I can
tell you here and now, we will not allow that to happen. The world must stand together to eliminate this
threat once and for all and put an end to terror and war.
This endeavor will be costly. We must not be seduced by the relative ease of the “techno-wars” we have
seen in the past. Make no mistake, there will be many lives lost. But we have had this threat thrust upon us
and we must not waver.
I urge you to pray for our soldiers in Russia, for those soldiers who may be called into battle, and pray for a
rapid end to this conflict.
God Bless you, and God Bless America.”
Stay tuned to USANN for this developing story.
