French
President
Chirac at UN
The US State Department announced that
relations are on an upturn with those countries
that opposed the US invasion of Ghana in late
March.
We told the world that we didnt intend to
control Ghana, said one official. We went there
to save US lives and we did that. And now weve
relinquished control of the country and will help
Ghana to become a model of democracy in
Africa. We hope that because of these actions, our
friends will once again join us in defending
freedom.
French President Chirac, in a speech at the UN
General Assembly, issued the following
statement:
It does my heart good to see that the United
States has listened to their friends and has chosen
the right course of action in Ghana. We urge those
who opposed the situation to help the United
States in their efforts to re-establish a free
government for the people of Ghana. And we
wish to improve relations with our friends across
the Atlantic.
Ireland and Algeria voiced their support of the
French diplomatic maneuver in improving
relations with the United States, although Somalia
has been unwavering in its continued protest.
The US has become far too reactionary, said a
Somali UN official. They wield far too much
power and are far too eager to use it.
Bulgaria Joins US Alliance
After many months of political wrangling, Bulgaria
announced Wednesday that it will join in an alliance
with the United States.
The United States came to Europes aid to eliminate
a renegade threat in Russia, said Bulgarias UN
ambassador. And for that, we are grateful. To ensure
the stability and security of Europe, we are proud to
join our friends in the United States.
Although the announcement was celebrated in
Washington, reports have circulated that the recent
elections held in Bulgaria may have been tampered
with by intelligence operatives from the United
States.
This accusation is utterly false, said a White House
official. We put thousands of hours into making this
alliance happen which was not an easy task. We
support democracy and we support the free elections
that took place recently in Bulgaria. End of story.
Russia Provides Finland with Military
Units
To aid Finland in
rebuilding their
war-damaged
military, Russia,
under the
guidance from the
White House,
announced that
Russia will
provide Finland with 50 Su-24 Fencer fighter
bombers, effectively immediately.
We wish to see Finland become a secure nation as
quickly as possible, said President Putin. And to do
that, were willing to do what it takes to offer our help
and repair the tragic damage that was done.
With the US taking increasing heat for the continued
occupation of Finland and Russia, the news was met
with enthusiasm in the White House.
The sooner we can rebuild Finland, the sooner we
can relinquish control and thats good for everyone.
