Re: Sam's Short Stories
Alright then.
Africa, Operation Chain, Middle East developments
Forces in Tanzania are taking a beating. Super equipped insurgents (as we call them) are fighting hard against our beachfront forces in the former capital Dar es Salaam. A third of the city has been destroyed by heavy fighting by June 11th, 2003. It's full urban fighting, the strongest we've ever seen. This is worse than Sierra Leone, casualties mount into the tens of thousands for both sides. On June 14th, amidst heavy fighting, a breakout operation is attempted; partially successful, we manage to capture up to halfway between Tanga and Arusha. On the southern front, we make a push towards Mtwara. The guerillas are pushed back on June 15th by massive airstrikes and new chemical strikes. On June 16th, with new resources arriving from Zanzibar, the beachead forces meetup with our northern invasion forces, becoming a strong force which takes Dodoma and Sumbawanga. Iringa falls on June 17th. Surprised and battered guerillas retreat south; on June 18th, advances into the south halt at Lake Nyasa as we prepare, regroup and rearm.
Meanwhile in Libya and Egypt, riots engulf the countries. By June 6, after several days of rioting, the Egyptian government collapses under the weight of the protesters and the economic problems. Both countries economy collapsed unlike anything which had ever been seen before. In Libya, the army is sent to quell the protesters by any means but quickly start rioting against the government once pay stops flowing in. A coup against Gadaffi occurs on June 8th. On June 9th, Senegal invades Libya and Egypt. Egypt falls first in less than two days; their country is in Anarchy and the Armed Forces cannot effectively maintain resistance. Cairo is captured. In Libya it's a little harder but Tripoli is ravaged and occupied by June 13th. Thanks to our work in collapsing both countries under Operation Chain, it was made extremely easy. Western nations turn a blind eye because of my oil control.
In Palestine, the Palestinian Armed Forces are formed. Israel is ****ting itself, and I can tell because they both ordered 45 billion in US equipment and buffed their borders. The Palestinian Army immediately launches an operation to retake the West Bank which is successful; Israel retaliates by invading the West Bank on June 9th. Oil imports stop and the IDF run dry; Palestine has a massive surplus and immediately conquers the West Bank once again. Fatah and Hamas are eliminated from the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian State is established on June 11th, immediately recognized by the Middle East and Senegal, which continues to send in aid to the country. Israel prepares itself for war.
Senegal as of June 18th, 2003
